"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." -Hebrews 11:1
On April 2, 2017, my pastor preached at a church in South Florida. I was so excited because I hadn't attended church due to being away at college. It was such a powerful service. After she preached, the host pastor prophesied over me as shown in the video below. Unbeknownst to him, I was finishing up my senior year at Florida Atlantic University and was dealing with some opposition pertaining to my upcoming graduation. Watch the video to listen to the prophetic word then continue reading to find out how this move of God shifted my faith FOREVER.
*Excuse my roughness. I straightened my hair, but South Florida's weather didn't want me to be great.
Now that you've watched the prophecy, here's the manifestation of it.
For a few months, I had so much uncertainty about graduating in summer 2017. There's a section on my degree track where I was required to take two courses. I had already taken one of the classes; therefore I only needed to take one more. The four classes they had to choose from weren't offered in the summer so my only option was to do an internship for credit.
On April 29th, I had this dream where someone told me, "God is going to do something. Get ready." I thought this was concerning an internship, but I was wrong. I applied for several internships and nothing came through.
I went to see an advisor on May 16th to explore my options to fulfill the missing requirement. She was stumped so she referred me to the department chair of my major. I reached out to him and the following day he noted how other students were in the same situation. He decided to create a special topics course that started at the end of June. This was an undergraduate course that was going to be taught simultaneously with a graduate course. All I had to do was attend the class, do the work, and it was going to be used as a course substitution for one of the classes that wasn't offered during the summer then I would fulfill the missing requirement. Pause. There was a problem. This class's meeting time conflicted with one of my other classes. The department chair suggested that I switch that class to an earlier time. I agreed, but needed another department's permission to do so.
The next day I met with the director of the program of the class that I wanted to switch. Initially, she told me no because the class was so rigorous (it was a six week course) and I was already a week behind. She reviewed my transcript then started to reconsider. She decided that I needed to speak with the professor to get approval on whether or not I could take the class. I talked to the professor the next day and ultimately decided not to take the six week course since I was so far behind and it would be too much considering I was taking three other classes. However, I had OPTIONS. The director offered to let me take the course online. All of the online sections were full, but she went over capacity and put me in the section of the professor I spoke with! I passed all of my classes and graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Management with a concentration in Leadership on August 8, 2017!!!

There are three promises of God I fervently stand on as a result of this testimony.
1. God keeps His word.
It was spoken through the prophet that God was going to open up the doors for my graduation, and HE DID JUST THAT.
If you have a word from God, then it will come to pass. Don't allow doubt or uncertainty to diminish your faith regardless of how things may look. Stick to what He said. He can do all things but fail.
2. God is a provider.
In addition to God making a way for me to graduate, someone gave me some money to purchase my cap and gown. I was working a temporary job that offered inconsistent work assignments and couldn't afford to pay for these items. God led them to sow into me and they had no idea that this was a need.
God's capabilities are greater than our challenges.
3. Nothing is impossible with Him.
I met with an advisor in November 2016. She had the audacity to say I wasn't going to graduate on time because I had nine classes left and I would've been pushing it. Of course, this didn't deter me though. It actually gave me motivation to do what it takes to graduate in the summer like I desired.
I can admit that it certainly looked like I wasn't going to graduate on time in the natural, but God already had plans set up to make it happen. This is why I live by Luke 1:37. It says, "For with God nothing will be impossible." It's been four years since I've graduated, and I still refer to this testimony anytime I get discouraged when believing for something out of my capabilities. If He did it before, then He can most definitely do it again.
Has God done anything that increased your belief in Him? If so, I'd like to hear about it. I love to read testimonies of the goodness of God!! Feel free to comment below or send a message. I pray my story encourages you to stand firm on the promises of God and keep the faith regardless of the circumstances. "For we walk by faith, not by sight." -2 Corinthians 5:7.
Written with grace,
Kiala
Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? If not, say this prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus,
Come into my life. I accept You as my Lord and personal Savior. I believe in my heart that You died and rose from the dead to save me. Thank You, Lord, for saving me in Jesus' name. Amen.
If you prayed this prayer, then congratulations! All of your sins are now forgiven and you have been born again. Heaven is rejoicing!
