30 and Thriving with God

My birthday celebration began with a quick trip to Costa Rica where I stayed at Planet Hollywood. It was located in a lush tropical setting where guests could vacation like a star in Hollywood-themed luxury. Staying at an all-inclusive resort has become the norm for my birthday trips, and I love that for me! It’s so freeing to not have to drive, cook, or clean. This trip was brief in comparison to the others. It consisted of eating, sleeping, attending a music tribute, chilling in the pool, and riding a jet ski for the first time.

I then returned home to prep for part two of my big celebration. This was momentous because I had not had a birthday party since I was twelve-years-old, I typically celebrate on a solo trip, and I entered a new decade, THIRTY.

My party's theme was Thirty, Flirty, and Thriving based on the iconic movie, 13 Going on 30. I wanted the room to have a luxurious feel just like how I envision the next chapter of my life to be. The decorator accomplished this with exquisite decor adorned with green, black, and silver colors. It was absolutely gorgeous!!

I invited my family and those that were dear to my heart to celebrate with me. It was pretty disappointing at the amount of people who didn't show up, especially considering how much was spent. I made the best of it anyways and had a great time with those who attended my party.

My words for 2026 are alignment and advancement. In accordance with my theme, I read Prophetic Reset: 40 Days to Aligning with God's Plan for Your Life written by Apostle Joshua Giles. It provided biblical insights that revitalized me spiritually and gave me a reset I’ve desperately needed. The prophetic words were so accurate for this season of my life. Apostle Giles also hosted a Mantle New Year Revival where he released a prophetic forecast that really set the tone for the year. In the past couple of years, my goals have been the same. I believe I'm in a place where I'm set on what the vision of my life looks like. I just need to lock in and eliminate what doesn't align. To achieve my goals, my intentions are to execute dreams and ideas I've been sitting on, move quicker, and tap into my influence.

Procrastination and perfectionism tend to hold me back when I explore uncharted territory. Overthinking and feeling overwhelmed are the main causes of my delay in execution. To overcome those barriers, I've decided to push past the what-ifs and outsource tasks that seem too much to handle. I'm a firm believer in hiring people who are more experienced and qualified to do something. I also don't want to overwhelm myself and fall behind. Supportive people need support too.

Being a leader requires one to be on the forefront. The calling isn’t easy but necessary to bring effective change. Having a platform comes with a major responsibility that must be stewarded well while being in the public eye. This looks like being a good example through virtuous actions and honorable character. With the platform comes publicity. Sometimes I shy away because being seen makes me uncomfortable. Visibility clashes with my preference of being behind-the-scenes. It's not about me specifically but being used as a vessel. Furthermore, you can't control how people perceive you. Dealing with assumptions and gossip clouds the overall message I want to convey. I've had my share of combative social media wars, but I've learned when to ignore and address. I'm not afraid to say something back. As a leader, I’m working on overcoming the apprehension and truly embracing everything that comes with my calling. I know I’m meant for more and want to make an impact.

As I’ve been reevaluating my life, I’ve recognized that I’ve done and accomplished a lot, but I’m not living the lifestyle I imagined at this age. One day in August 2025, I began to feel like my life was elevating. My tastes/interests have been changing, and I saw myself indulging in more luxurious things while having flexibility with my time to enjoy things like I want to.

I was inspired by a content creator who is on a millionaire in a year journey. She’s documenting her process of how she plans to reach this goal with systems, team members, and her various streams of income. I decided to embark on a similar journey to hit six figures in a year. My current streams of income are my full-time job, part-time job with the Jacksonville Jaguars, freelancing, and affiliate links. Though diversified, I want to simplify and participate in gigs I’m actually interested in. I’ve asked the Lord to reveal my assignment and where I can use my gift. There is room for it.

We are living in a digital age where individuals have established notoriety by building an online presence by posting engaging content that shapes their audience’s beliefs and buying decisions. Some have also monetized their personal brand through affiliate links, their own products, and lucrative brand deals. I used to be more active on social media where I would post relatable quotes and my thoughts on trending topics. I fell off from posting, but I’ve been getting back to sharing posts more often. I also updated my Instagram bio to better reflect who I am and my interests. With my platforms, I have the traction and engagement. Now I need to convert that into cash.

My goals over the past few years have been consistent. Despite dealing with multiple challenges and transitions, I'm not deviating from what I've set out to do. It's just taking a little longer than expected as I redefine things and conquer continuous trials solo. I'm still maintaining an active pursuit of my vision and heart’s desires. My prayer has been for the Lord to shape my desires and aspirations to align with His will.

Personal goals:

  • Pursue modeling

Modeling has been a childhood dream of mine. Now that I have autonomy after taking my power back, I've decided to pursue modeling seriously. If you see any classes, casting calls, test shoots, or movie screenings in Jacksonville or Orlando, please share them with me. Maybe you'll see me on a screen near you!

  • Build social life

I had a blast going out last year and I want to continue doing so. It is my intention to also post more content of my social life to grow my accounts and show how to maximize a single season.

  • Pay off at least one of my student loans

  • Strengthen my public speaking and writing skills

  • Improve my mental health

  • Get a new car

I've been talking about this for a couple of years lol. I really dread the idea of having to make car payments but I seriously do need to get a new vehicle. It's beyooond time!

  • Increase media presence

    • Attend social events

    • Participate in campaigns

    • Post more often on social media

KP Executive Assist:

  • Book clients and retain at least two per quarter

  • Hit my revenue goal

  • Increase visibility and reach

  • Create more merchandise

  • Host quarterly event where I provide administrative services in person

  • Get featured in a media publication where I share my career journey and expertise

I'm very much still in disbelief that I'm 30. I don't really feel much different than I did in my late 20s, but I'm sure that'll change over time. I'm taking everything that comes with this new decade in stride. This year hasn't started off that well, but I believe it'll get better once I'm repositioned to where I'm truly supposed to be. The warfare is just a sign that greater is coming. As I embark into a new decade, these times are also motivating me to build a life at my own pace that’s sustainable throughout the constant challenges. Maintaining my closeness with the Lord, choosing commitment over my feelings, and being more discerning with new connections and opportunities are the driving forces for having a fulfilling thirtieth year! My hope is in God.

Written with grace,

Kiala

Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? If not, say this prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus,

Come into my life. I accept You as my Lord and personal Savior. I believe in my heart that You died and rose from the dead to save me. Thank You, Lord, for saving me in Jesus' name. Amen.

If you prayed this prayer, then congratulations! All of your sins are now forgiven and you have been born again. Heaven is rejoicing!
