Repositioned for More in 2024

I entered 2024 seeking solace after experiencing the worst season of my life. The residue from 2023 left me feeling shifted, not shaken. This year ended a lot different than it started, and I am grateful. Recap some of my greatest moments that made this such a successful year!

My theme for 2024 was year of the builder. I didn't have any major goals like I normally would. Instead, I set my intentions on expounding on the things I was already working on.

In the spring, I revamped nearly everything about my business. This included:

  • New name

  • Refreshed portfolio

  • Updated contact information

  • Niched down to specific industries: beauty service providers, content creators, e-commerce owners, influencers, and professional athletes (NBA & NFL players only)

This was quite daunting so I'm proud that I successfully completed all of those. I changed my business’ name to KP Executive Assist, created a brand new portfolio showcasing what I have to offer, updated my contact information to reflect my rebrand, and niched down to exclusive industries. Originally, my services were geared to beauty service providers, content creators, e-commerce owners, influencers, and professional athletes. I had a dream in September that showed me a content idea about how to serve high-profile people. I downplayed it as one of my many ideas until I had a revelation. It occurred to me that I already serve these type of people so it only made sense to incorporate that into my business. I tailored this into a special offer with intentions of upgrading my vision once the offer's deadline ended.

Below are the goals I had for my business and how they played out.

My top goal was to book at least two clients per quarter. Unfortunately, this was not achieved. It was challenging trying to find clients that aligned with my services. I also felt conflicted after coming across several postings requesting an assistant. They were tempting to apply for, but I had to remind myself to stick within my scope. Doing this gave me the clarity and confidence to be firm about seeking opportunities from my preferred clientele. I did receive a few leads so that gave me hope.

In addition to revamping my brand, I launched merchandise as well! Each product was designed for all the hardworking executive and administrative assistants to show off their professional pride. Products are sold exclusively here.

As a part of my theme, another one of my business’ goals was to increase visibility. People can't know what I have to offer if they don't know I exist! So, I created a business account on Instagram and Threads. This allowed me to separate business content from my personal account and connect with other assistants. I released a special campaign to offer administrative support during the holidays with four carefully curated packages. I boosted the post by running an ad on Instagram and was pleased with the results. I'm definitely considering doing it again in the future.

I've been feeling discontent about the direction of my career. I'm absolutely grateful for the opportunities, but I'm not where I imagined I'd be at this point in my life. My main source of dissatisfaction stemmed from the industry I'm working in. I felt extremely frustrated and knew a change was needed. Something woke up in me which provoked me to make a move. The courage I built up led to me getting a job with the Jacksonville Jaguars!!! This was so major to me and was my favorite thing I achieved in 2024. I'll share more about the process in my next blog post. Stay tuned!

The hiatus I endured in 2023 gave me a glimpse of how my life was going to shift in unexpected ways. Some things had to be rearranged to get me where I needed to be. I rest in knowing I’ve been repositioned for more in 2024. Every lesson is a blessing! Now, I have the capacity to receive more.

2024 was a remarkable year! As I reflected upon the things that transpired, I embraced that everything happened the way it was supposed to. I'm grateful for the experience gained, goals accomplished, and memories made. Expectations are high for what’s to come in 2025! I’m going into it with an increase in faith and greater confidence.

Scripture references:

“The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.” -Deuteronomy 28:12-13

“May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands.” -Psalm 90:17

“For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hurries toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it delays, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay long.” -Habakkuk 2:3

“Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.””- John 13:7

“and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:7

Thank you for being along the journey! Your support and encouragement are deeply valued. I hope my blog has influenced your growth. May you receive guidance that aligns you with God’s plans in the upcoming year.

Written with grace,

Kiala

Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? If not, say this prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus,

Come into my life. I accept You as my Lord and personal Savior. I believe in my heart that You died and rose from the dead to save me. Thank You, Lord, for saving me in Jesus' name. Amen.

If you prayed this prayer, then congratulations! All of your sins are now forgiven and you have been born again. Heaven is rejoicing!
