Have you ever been signed up for something without your permission? As the author of my life, God saw fit to add me to His strongest soldiers list. The second half of 2023 has brought about a series of blows most notably including grief from burying two family members within two months and bearing the burdens of my loved ones being the empath that I am. On the days where it was tough to get out of my bed, I had to tap into a level of strength that was beyond my power. If you're in a season where you are wondering how you’re going to make it through, know that you don’t have to fend for yourself. I’m here to remind you of who your source is and redirect your focus on the Lord's wondrous works to empower you to remain strong in the Lord.
As I turned 27, I came into it with an increased sense of self confidence and surety that great things were going to unfold in my life. Little did I know, that greatness would be accompanied with trials tasked to provoke my trust in God. The main thing that kept me grounded in the midst of everything I was going through was my faith. In those moments of hardships, I knew who I could lean on when things were too much for my humanity to bear. Psalms 55:22 says, “Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.” It was never intended for me to carry a heavy load. This scripture encouraged me to give my problems over to God and not let them impair my focus. The Lord is my sustainer. I have unshakable faith in Him! “I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.” -Psalm 16:8. It is the consistency of God's character that maintains my steadfast confidence in Him. My faith is so strong that nothing can uproot me. I've seen God manifest His word time and time again in my life so I trust that I can undoubtedly rely on Him. Therefore, I can't be moved.
Establish a foundation first in order to be grounded and strong enough to withstand the storms that are yet to come.
God is good because He’s a gracious Father who loves His children unconditionally. Psalm 145:17 says, “The Lord is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His works.” The evidence of His goodness is demonstrated through His wondrous works. He is a healer. He is a father to the fatherless that will never leave nor forsake us. He extends grace and mercy when we mess up. To delight in the Lord in the midst of trials requires an attitude of gratitude from knowing God’s track record of what He’s done thus far and being hopeful of what’s next to come. From opening doors for me to graduate to restoring me back to where I belong, I can testify of His goodness. Take a moment and reflect on what God has done in your life. Whether it's small or major to you, no move of God is insignificant.
Pray these scriptures when in need of supernatural strength to overcome weariness:
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” -Joshua 1:9
“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’” -Isaiah 41:10
"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak." -Isaiah 40:29
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you." -Deuteronomy 31:6
“Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.” -1 Corinthians 16:13
Declare these scriptures to cultivate a heart of thankfulness for the Lord’s works:
“Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear You, which You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men!” -Psalm 31:19
“The Lord is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His works.” -Psalm 145:17
“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.” -Psalm 27:13
A confident believer doesn't allow their faith or posture to waver when the devil attacks. The weapons will form, but they won't prosper. Stand STRONG in the Lord.

Written with grace,
Kiala
