In my previous post, I shared how one of my goals for this year was a promotion. Well guess what?! I GOT PROMOTED!!! Before I get into the actual testimony of my journey of my career thus far, watch the video first then read the manifestation of it afterwards.
In January 2019, it was prophesied to me about a job. One of the key things he said was that it wasn't going to be what I expected, but it was going to be a step up and God was going to give me another step in six months. Around this time, there was a particular job I applied for that was part time with a certain pay rate and no benefits. In March, I was in the process of getting another job that was full time with benefits and a higher pay rate than the other one. I ultimately chose the part time job and started in April. It was still part time, but I ended up receiving benefits, holiday pay, leave time accrual, and the pay was more than what was listed in the job advertisement. In July (which is *six months* after I applied for the job), I began the process of my first promotion. The position opened on July 29th then I applied the next day. I took the test in August and passed of course.
Next, I received a raise in the beginning of October then I was promoted to full time a couple of weeks later after only six months of working.
Then in October 2020, I gained a new title (in addition to the one I already have; making this promotion number two) that gives me access to more duties, and I completed the mandatory probation which came with a pay increase.
In September 2021, I received an email notifying me that I was eligible for another promotion. I took an exam two months later and earned a passing score ultimately ranking number three. Normally, I would be bothered by not being the top scorer since I'm so competitive, but this was strategic. There were two positions available at another location that I wasn't interested in. Being ranked number three worked out in my favor because the two people who scored higher than I did were offered the positions. This meant I was next. It was my desire to get promoted where I was and God did just THAT.
“Delight yourself in the LORD; and He will give you the desires of your heart.” -Psalm 37:4
Another position at that same location became available in January 2022. I declined since it wasn't what I wanted. A follow-up conversation with my supervisor a few days later brought about the grand news of getting promoted exactly as I desired. It's the same position with a higher rank, an increase in pay, and additional responsibilities. To God be the glory!!
May the next conversation you have with key decision makers catapult you to the next level. You won’t leave the same.
Not only is our Heavenly Father a god who produces signs, but He also performs wonders! His power will cause you to relish in favor with those in your workplace as well. This ongoing testimony reminds me of my most relatable biblical character, Joseph. We both faced the spirit of rejection which eventually resulted in promotion. Joseph found favor in the sight of his master, Potifar, after being sold as a slave by his brothers. Potifar recognized that the Lord was him and appointed him as overseer of his house according to Genesis 39:3-4.
My transition after graduating college to starting my career was rough. I went through depression, countless job application denials, financial hardship, and sickness. Despite these challenges, my time of employment has been so full of favor in an Ephesians 3:20 kind of way considering this is my third promotion in less than three years. Like Joseph, every negative thing that was meant to cause destruction worked out for the good. Being in the pit served as a launching pad for what was next to come.
When God has spoken a word over His children, Satan's attacks will attempt to cast doubts and destroy the faith of a believer. It doesn't matter how much opposition you face. How you handle the circumstances while being in the pit will determine your victory. All it takes is ONE agent of change to bless your life and position you to where you are supposed to be. Always remember that God is a faithful promise keeper and His word will NEVER return void.

Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? If not, say this prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus,
Come into my life. I accept You as my Lord and personal Savior. I believe in my heart that You died and rose from the dead to save me. Thank You, Lord, for saving me in Jesus' name. Amen.
If you prayed this prayer, then congratulations! All of your sins are now forgiven and you have been born again. Heaven is rejoicing!
