August has become one of my favorite months. The feeling of newness it brings gives me the sense of a fresh start similarly to the beginning of the year. Regardless of what has taken place or how distant things may seem, this is a great time to draw closer to God to receive what He's about to do next. Let's pray.
Lord, thank You for allowing me to make it this far while being with me throughout every season. I place this eighth month, which represents new beginnings, in Your hands. Prepare me for what’s next to come. I embrace this season of promotion and welcome every new thing you’re doing in my life as I release the former things to press toward what’s ahead. Though some things didn’t go as desired this year, I cast the burdens of failure over to You. Shift my posture from disappointment to determination as I delight myself in You. I pray that You will refresh my weary soul and help me to be strong. Refill me so that I may pour into others. I decree I will make tangible progress this month, and You will provide everything I need to fulfill the tasks set before me with courage and strength in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Scripture references:

"Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart." -Psalm 37:4
"I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint." -Jeremiah 31:25
